Cardiatec Ltd. is a start-up company operating under the auspices of the Misgav Venture Accelerator, an early stage medical device incubator located in the Misgav Business Park, Misgav, Israel.



Management Team

Avner Amir, CEO - Avner Amir brings vast experience in managing life science start-ups and carrying them through to success. Prior to joining Cardiatec, Amir served as General Manager of Tadiran Lifecare, an independent medical device division of Tadiran Spectralink Ltd. in the field of mobile tele-assistance and tele-medicine.


Giora Amitzur, Ph.D., Co-Founder & CTO – Dr. Amitzur is a senior research investigator at the Neufeld Institute of Cardiac Research, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Dr. Amitzur is a well-known expert in the field of physiology and pharmacology of the cardiovascular system.

Brian Berman, Co-Founder & Director - Mr. Berman is an experienced consultant in the biotech and high-tech fields. He formerly served as CFO of Bio-Guard, D-Pharm Ltd., and Paradigm Geophysical.

Prof. Shmuel Einav, Co-Founder - Professor Einav’s expertise lies in the fields of cardiovascular bioengineering and biomedical engineering. He was elected as a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE), a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and is a member of the Senate Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of Tel Aviv University. He is also president of the Israeli Society for Medical and Biological Engineering. Professor Einav received a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (1972) from Stony Brook University, New York.
